The Woman's Club of Plainville was organized in 1921,
and was federated into the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) on May 4, 1948.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our
mission is to empower women and to benefit our community and government.
Under the GFWC motto, "Unity in Diversity", our club
has an outstanding record of accomplishments, which include promoting education, preserving natural resources, encouraging
healthy lifestyles, working on behalf of the elderly and people with disabilities, supporting the Arts, providing scholarships,
and advocating for issues of concern to women.
